Hi, I’m Jeannie—and I’m a little obsessed with henna.
I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a henna artist. Honestly, I just loved drawing on myself as a kid (and getting in trouble for it). Fast forward a few years, I stumbled onto henna at a friend’s wedding, picked up a cone out of curiosity, and never really put it down. I was hooked from the first swirl.
My early designs? Oh, they were rough. Blobby flowers, shaky lines, very “Pinterest fail” energy. But I kept at it, practiced on my own hands, my friends’ arms, whoever would sit still long enough.
Eventually, the lines got smoother, the designs got bolder, and now I do everything from traditional bridal henna to fun modern mashups for festivals and parties.
Why I Share My Expertise
There’s a lot of mystery around henna when you’re just starting out—what to buy, how long to leave it on, what actually makes it last. I created this site to help cut through all that confusion and make it easier (and more fun!) for people to get into it.
This isn’t some elite, only-for-the-pros kind of space. It’s for anyone who’s ever looked at a henna design and thought, “I wanna try that.” You don’t need a fancy kit or years of experience—you just need curiosity, a bit of patience, and maybe a towel nearby in case things get messy (because they will, and that’s okay).
What You’ll Find Here
On this site, I share:
-
Step-by-step how-tos (like how to mix your own paste without making concrete)
-
Easy design tips that don’t require art school
-
Care instructions that help your stain actually last
-
Honest, no-fluff advice for beginners
-
Inspiration for both traditional and modern styles
Plus, some real talk along the way—because not every henna attempt turns out Insta-worthy, and that’s part of the fun.
My Style
I’m big on blending the old with the new. I love the elegance of traditional Indian and Middle Eastern patterns, but I also like throwing in unexpected elements—bracelet designs, celestial symbols, or simple, minimal motifs that work for anyone. I think henna should be expressive, personal, and totally low-pressure.
Let’s Make Some Art
So, that’s me—a little henna-obsessed, always experimenting, and here to help you get your hands (literally) into it, too.
Let’s keep it creative, messy, and beautiful.
